Covid-19 Salon guidance

Thank you for choosing Chic Nails & Beauty and continuing to trust me with all of your Nail & Beauty needs. I want to continue making your treatments as relaxing and enjoyable as always but I’ll adding in new measures to keep both You & I safe during these strange times.

In my 18 weeks off I’ve spent lots of time reading, watching & listening to as much as I could to re-open my business safely. As your beauty therapist/nail technician I have a duty of care to keep you safe whilst visiting my business.

I am super excited to welcome you all back into a clean, safe, well ventilated and welcoming environment. Claire Xx

Before Arrival

24 - 48hrs before your arrival -

Have you been in contact with anyone with confirmed Covid-19 or showing symptoms?

Are you feeling unwell or showing symptoms of Covid-19 ?

Are you waiting for test results for Covid-19 testing?

 If you have answered yes to any of the above questions please get in touch and we can re-arrange your appointment.

Make sure you have booked the correct treatments and also any extra time if you require nail art. If you require Nail Art the appropriate timings must be booked. I can no longer squeeze these extras in.

Book a few appointments in advance as I have less availability due to gaps for cleaning the salon.

Upon Arrival

Please arrive on time for your appointments. If you are late, I may have to re-schedule your appointment. This is due to working to a strict diary with cleaning spaces between each appointment.

When you arrive at the salon please come in if the door is un- locked if its locked give me a knock and I’ll be as quick as I can to let you in. I have a selection of hand sanitisers available at the entrance so please use these on arrival. I have a coat stand at the door so you can hang up your coat and take a seat in my reception area.

Please come to your appointment alone, this is to allow for as much social distancing as possible.

Please wear a mask or face covering to your appointment, I have plenty spare if you need one. I will be providing visors as an alternative if you are unable to wear a mask. A visor will still keep us both protected to a certain degree from any droplets (in this instance I will wear both mask & visor if required). During all appointment you will still be able to drink water if you wish. I will be providing bottled water for all customers. ( If I forget to offer please just ask me )

Hands and nails must be washed thoroughly using a nail brush & soap before any nail treatments and I will have hand sanitizer available for any other treatments or you can wash hands if you wish. I have set up a hand washing station with nail brushes, hand soap and disposable bio-degradable towels.

Personal belongings to be placed in box during treatment. Phones should be kept in bags or pockets or placed in box/tray provided unless you need to keep it out for emergencies. If you have to keep your phone out I’ll ask you to give it a wipe over to ensure the salon remains as clean as possible for any vulnerable customers.

During your appointment

I will be wearing a mask at all times and also a visor when doing any treatments in the ‘ high risk ‘ area around the face. I will be working from the side or behind for all facial waxing or lash & brow treatments. Gloves will be worn for all waxing as usual. Hand hygiene will be my No.1 priority during your treatments.

I have invested in a new Extraction unit for my nail desk and a Ventilation unit to keep the air as dust free and as clean as possible. These have been purchased from a company called RAVAIR if you wish to read up on the amazing technology both units work with.

Card payments will be preferred but I will still be accepting cash – change may be limited as not as many people will be using cash.

I will not be raising my prices but will have to add a £2 charge to each appointment to buffer the additional PPE and cleaning time/products. This will be assessed monthly as the situation changes.

Unfortunately, loyalty Cards are on hold for the next few months as financially I cannot keep running them at the moment. Don’t chuck them, they will be back asap!!!
